Abstract: | Daubaylia pearsoni n. sp. from the hemocoel of Glyptophysa gibbosa (Gould, 1847) (Planorbidae) from Australia is distinguished readily from the 7 other members of the genus by the presence in the female of a pair of prominent toothlike appendages a short distance from the pointed dorsally curved extremity of the tail. The tail of the male is pointed and has a ventral, posteriorly directed spine not found in other species of the genus. |
